The deputy mines director, Osman Boi Kamara will this morning return to his office after he was sent on leave last year together with a number of other civil servants.
They were sent following the election of President Ernest Bai Koroma in September.
Sources close to the Establishment Secretary’s office say Mr Boi Kamara is among several others that have been recalled from leave.
The sources say it will be a deficit for a vast number of civil servants to proceed on leave to retirement, “which will create a gap within the system and hamper efficiency”.
One source says many other civil servants sent on a similar leave will resume work shortly, adding that they are only waiting for postings from the Establishment Secretary’s office.
