The Freetown City Hall once used by scandalous and touts as shelter is now under demolition.
Kamal Nassar, Managing Director of Sierra Construction System has been awarded the contract to demolish the hall in 10 weeks costing 972 million Leones.
The scandalous and lout people were asked out of the building before the demolition started.
The Acting Mayor, who was at the scene said that the new hall that will be built will be bigger and more unique than the previous hall.
In terms of accommodation and space, the new hall will take close to thousands of people and a wider area as car park.
Councillor Franklyn Gibson, chairman of security works and public utilities explained that the new hall will have two conference rooms and many offices which would be used by the council.
