The Vice President of the National Deaf Football team, Alhaji Mohamed Rahman, yesterday disclosed to Awoko Sports that they needed about Le16 million to go to Liberia apart from the five million Leones that was donated to them by Mercury International on Tuesday.
He revealed that the team was expected to depart today for the friendly match in Liberia and play on Independence Day and return on the 29 as planed but that it had been postponed by their colleagues in Liberia.
According to Rahman they were told by their colleagues that the match had been postponed to May 19-25.
He also disclosed that their colleagues were also expecting some financial contributions from their government which they had not yet received until now to take care of the Sierra Leone delegation.
He said they were appealing to government and companies to come on board to support them to be able to play their friendly matches in Liberia.
