Patrick Dangawalli a national player who also played for Old Edwardians football club donated a full set of jerseys to the heroes foundation at the National Stadium hostel in Freetown.
He said he has decided to donate to the foundation as he wants to be part of them and as an old player he needs to join them. He recalled that they played football together for this country for several years. He also stated that the foundation has grown from strength to strength and he his happy for that and with this kind of love the foundation will grow.
He mentioned that this donation will not be last for the foundation as he will continue to make such donations at all times to the foundation
Dangawalli mentioned that” if not for the Director of Sports Bai KabiaI would not be in America by now that is why I have also donated plaque to him as a sign of appreciation”.
The Chairman of the foundation Umaru Deen Sesay the longest serving captain of the National team Leone Stars in his contribution said he was moved by what Patrick Dangawalli has done for the foundation
That is why they were the first to welcome him before he left to make a donation to Old Edwardians team last Saturday. He appealed to him to bring other hero’s especially those staying in the States to come onboard to support the foundation.
The adviser to the Foundation Dr Foday Bangura who has contributed a lot to the development of the association in his contribution said that they have played for this country and they have now reached a stage that they need to come together as a family.
He also disclosed that the head of State of this country Ernest Bai Koroma has given them recognition and they are thankful to God for that.
He said the foundation has made a lot of development s during the past months with the Director of sports making some serious inputs to the foundation
Rev Weah Sawyer in his own contribution said he his always happy to see hero’s coming together that is why a sports man is always a sports man and appealed to all to be united.
