A fatal accident occurred on Wednesday 10th October 2007 at about 5:45pm along the Kenema – Liberia highway.
According to the investigator PC 858 Kargbo P.F. a land cruiser jeep with registration number ADJ 481 driven by one Williams Conteh of 37 Spur road in Freetown collided with a victor motor bike with registration number ADG 080 being driven by one Jaya Koroma of Peri Fefewabu village about 18miles from Kenema in the Gaura chiefdom.
As a result of the accident the cyclist Jaya Koroma died on the spot while the two passengers who were at his back Augustine Aruna and Sumaila Bao all of Giema village about 9 miles from Kenema in the Dama village sustained serious injuries resulting in their hospitalization in Kenema while the corpse of Jaya Koroma has been deposited at the mortuary waiting for postmortem examination.
