The Sierra Leone Cricket Association will tomorrow Saturday, March 3rd 2012 at the National Stadium ratify their new draft constitution prepared by the current executive.
According to information gathered by Awoko Sports, the draft constitution has as a new modification, a Board, which is said has been a conditionality placed on all associations by the International Cricket Council (ICC), as an exhibition of best practices for the good of the game.
After the ratification of draft constitution by the stakeholders, a-21 day notice for observations and corrections would be issued and incorporated where necessary, following which, the association would hold an executive election for an executive that would be in charge for the next four years. The mandate of the present executive of the Sierra Leone Cricket Association (SLCA) ended in November 2011.
Awoko Sports is reliably informed that eminent past Cricketers are expected vie for some of the top positions such as Chief Executive Officer, President, Secretary General, and Administrative Secretary etc. within the executive.
