The Sierra Leone Army cricket team has maintained their undefeated record in the cricket 20/20 Super league over the weekend. They continued their winning spree by defeating one of the arch rivals in the league – Asian cricket team by 4 wickets.
During the match Asian was the first to bat making 136 runs for 9 wickets in 20 overs with Julius Brewah making the highest score of 20 runs not out. Julius Quee made 20 runs, Edward Senesie made 18 runs and Atiq made 17 runs.
Bowling for the Army Ibrahim Kabia took 2 wickets for 19 runs, Ibrahim Kamara 2 wickets for 18 runs, George Kpundeh 2 wickets for 27 runs, J Sandy 1 wicket for 07 runs while A Mansaray took 1 wicket for 21 runs.
When the Sierra Leone Army took the crease they were able to reply with 138 runs for 6 wickets in 19.3 overs with George Kpundeh making the highest runs for his side of 38 runs, Ibrahim Mansaray made 27 runs, Ibrahim Kamara made 21 runs and Ibrahim Kabia made 11 runs
Bowling for Asian Cricket team Atiq took 1 wicket for 23 runs while Edward Senesie took 1 wicket for 35 runs
In the other match Mid-West battered Murray Town by 103 runs with Mid-West taking the crease first and made 183 runs for the 8 wickets in 20.0 overs with Solomon Williams making the highest score of 54 runs, Samuel Coker had 23 runs Emmanuel Pessima 22 runs, Alfred Charley made 21 runs, Balowa Mansaray made 21 runs and extras of 27 runs.
Bowling for Murray Town Kamanor had 1 wicket for 26 runs, M. Kpaka had 1 wicket for 37 runs, G Kamara had 1 wicket for 27 runs, A Dumbuya 1 wicket for 27 runs and A Saffa 1 wicket for 30 runs.
When Murray Town Cricket took the crease they replied with 85 runs all out in 19.4 overs with Kamanor making the highest score for his side with 16 runs, S Tarawallie made 12 runs and extras 30 runs.
