A five-week course on Epidemiology and Health Systems Management for African District Health Managers is underway at the school of Public Health, University of Ghana, Legon.
The short-course which is being attended by 25 participants from five districts in Sierra Leone is aimed at developing the capacity of the health workforce for effective and sustainable health systems in Sierra Leone. It is also to train them in the management of public health intervention.
