Mamie Nana and four others were charged with various offences under the Public Order Act of 1965, including abusive language, insults, etc. They are accused of assaulting the complainant, Anna Kpange, who’s also a pastor. The matter was brought before Magistrate Sahr Kekura at the Pademba Road Magistrate Court No. 4. The defense lawyer, C. Campbell, said the information on the Particulars of Offence indicated the incident happened on diverse dates from 1st December to 30th December 2019. And, the matter was brought to court on 18th December 2019. The defense argued they could not proceed with the case because of faulty or inaccurate information in official records. According to the complainant, Kpange, the incident happened between the 7th and 10th December 2019. The complainant said that one of the accused assaulted her. The complainant witness didn’t testify but was then ordered by the Magistrate to pay Le5million for wasting the Court’s time. The matter has been adjourned to 9th January 2019.
