Commissioner Biobele Georgewill of the Commission of Inquiry, yesterday afternoon, visited one of the properties of the former Minister of Education Science and Technology, Minkailu Bah, at Donald Smith’s off Gloucester Road. The visit came as a result of the differing addresses of the property by counsel for Minkailu Bah, lawyer Amadu Koroma, and the property Valuator Christopher Olu Campbell, during cross-examination. Minkailu Bah served as the Minister of Education, Science and Technology for 126 months and earned a salary of Le1.348 billion. According to the Valuator, Campbell, the property in question was worth $1.125 million (Le 9 billion). He said the land alone was valued at $375,0000 USD (Le30 million) and the wall fence cost $250,000 USD (Le2 billion). Commissioner Georgewill, the Valuator, counsels for both the Person of Interest and the State, and others visited the Gloucester house to ascertain the correct address. The Valuator was apparently not allowed to enter the house when evaluating the property but Commissioner Georgewill entered the house and asked few questions. Amadu Koroma will today, 29 November 2019, opens his defence on behalf of his client Minkailu Bah, as the State closed their case.
