The Central One Football Association (COFA) U-14 competition second phase starts today at the Parade Grounds in the Central Part of the city with 12 teams participating in this phase.

On Friday, in the other encounter, Balletonians will battle with one of the best team in the competition FC Sannoh the team most fans have tipped to win this year’s U-14 competition
While over the weekend on Saturday Kissy U-14 will engage Africell and on Sunday FC Pizzo will battle against FC Bureh in another do or die encounter.
Speaking to Awoko Sports about the competition, the Secretary General of the association Philipson Cline Cole said that this second phase of the competition will be more competitive than the first phase, as this second phase would be played on knockout basis. Eight (8) teams are expected to proceed to the quarter final stages.
And out of the eight teams, four of the teams will move into semi final stage and he went further that during the quarter final stage of the competition the association will also organized an inter area competition that will go along side the quarter final and the semi final matches.
He mentioned that the inter area competition would be an open competition that would accommodate both premier and division one players, as the premier league and first division leagues are about to kick start.
Cline Cole appeals to the various teams to abide with the rules and regulation of the competition to avoid further confusion, pointing out that the referee decision is final.
He also appealled to football fans to come in their hundreds to witness these matches as these U-14 players are the feature players so we need to cheer them.
