The Central One Football Association (COFA) will start their knockout stage today at the parade grounds playing field in their inter-area league competition.
In today’s encounter Foulah Town will battle with Roland German in an exciting and thrilling match as both teams are going for a win to proceed to the next stage of the competition.
Over the weekend Brookfields United will clash with Malamento in another tough encounter as Brookfields United after losing their first match have vowed to win the competition by winning all their remaining matches in the group which will qualify them for the knockout stage. On Sunday Lumley will battle against a well determined Regent with the promise of being a match of equals.
The chairman of COFA Samma Sesay disclosed that this first stage of the knockout will end next Wednesday 30th September 2009 and six teams will automatically qualify to the quarter -Finals along with the best two losers. He also mentioned that they are expecting to start the quarter final Stage on the 2n October while the semi final matches will be played on the 10-11 of October 2009.
