The Central One Football Association (COFA) Chairman Sammah Sesay has told Awoko that they have disqualified Cole Farm community from the inter-area competition because they failed to fulfill the punishment meted out against them.
He said their match against FC Farm of Dwazark, they brought the game to a standstill during the second half of play when they were 2-0 down and the match was abandoned. When the executive of COFA met, they took a decision that Cole Farm must pay a fine of Five Hundred thousand Leone’s (Le500.000) before the next match which was yesterday
But they refused to comply and the executive has no alternative but to disqualify them from the competition with immediate effect.
Chairman Sammah Sesay said that any team involved in such behavior they too would be disqualified from the competition as they want a competition that his violent free and appealed to the teams to obey the rules and regulations that governed the competition.
The competition will continue today with Wilberforce battling against Aberdeen in an exciting encounter as both teams have quality players that can deliver.
Both teams played to a draw in their first matches against Giant of Goderich and Malamento respectively.
Over the weekend FC Farm (Dwarark) will battle against Leicester City while on Sunday Lumley will lock horns with Magazine.
