The remains of late former deputy Mayor of Freetown, Foday Abdul Rahman Kaloko will be accorded a civic funeral on Sunday.Sources at the Freetown City Council say the funeral of the late man who died in a gruesome road accident along the Makeni-Magburaka highway last Sunday will be held at Central Mosque and interment at the Ascension Town cemetery.
Stream of sympathizers from all walks of life have been paying tribute to the late Deputy Mayor and signing his book of condolence at the city council headquarters.
Foday Kaloko, a well-known socialite and also served as President of the Boxing Association of Sierra Leone, was the Organizing Secretary of the main opposition All Peoples’ Congress party and is on record as having pulled the highest vote in last municipal elections in 2004.
