As the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) elective congress draws closer with each new day one of the candidates vying for the presidency of the SLFA Christian Dauda on Friday at the national stadium hostel joined the dream team.
He said that he has met with Dr Bangso and the dream team on several occasions where they discussed the way forward for Sierra Leone football. He mentioned that when he came he tried very hard to meet those who are behind football in the country like Mohamed Kallon and Hon Chernor Bah and the heroes and he tried all his best to get in touch with these people.
He said he got a meeting with the Heroes and they advised him and treated him as their own son. The only thing he said he liked about the heroes is the honesty in the group “they all speak with one language.”
Dauda mentioned that with the advice from the heroes and Mohamed Kallon who told him that he has involved with Dr Bangso, Rodney Micheal and Mohamed Nabieu he has given his word to support them and he will not change that.
After adding up all the advise given to him by the heroes who are the foundation of football in Sierra Leone, Dauda says he has come to the conclusion that he has nothing more to do than to join the dream team.
Dauda says he is confident that Dr Bangso will surely deliver the goods and he is totally behind him. Dauda stated that he too has something to offer and that is why he has joined the train of the dream team as they have vision for football in this country.
He made it clear that he is not here to bring division into the game but to contribute noting that after he had gone around the country he now knows where the problems lie.
He stated further that if there were reliable people on the ground who were running football in this country and if they needed his help he should have helped them and in that case he too would not have decided to stand for the presidency.
In responding to Christian Dauda’s declaration of joining the dream team the campaign chairman Idrissa Tarawallie (Mago) said Christian Dauda has made the right choice by joining the dream team.
He disclosed that this is not the first time they have met with Christian Dauda pointing out that the only thing he likes about Dauda is that he likes to take up challenges by setting targets for himself “which is very nice for a young man like Christian.”
He went further that during their meetings they almost shared the same vision but the unfortunate thing during that period was that they had gone far with their campaign and they were working as a team, which is what is affecting the current executive of SLFA.
