The police in Port Loko are investigating a case of assault in Gbinti, Dibia Chiefdom, involving the sons of the regent chief Pa Alhaji Abdulai Jalloh.
His two sons, Abass and Allieu, are accused by one Thaim Jah, a driver of the incumbent MP in the district Ibrahim Bundu, of being beaten up with sticks few days towards the August 11 polls. In another related development, the Local Unit Commander in Port Loko Superintendent Tarawallie has dismissed news of stolen ballot boxes in both Ro-gbere Junction and Kaffu Bullom as “baseless and incorrect” even though the constituency’s monitor in Kaffu Bullom, Eddie Williams, complained of harassment and intimidation.
