The Chef de Mission in Sierra Leone Unisa Deen Kargbo has given his final warning for the submission of long list to 6 sporting disciplines who have failed to submit the names of officials and athletes for the London Olympic Games.
According to the warning letters sent to the six sporting disciplines Athletics, Cycling, Judo, Table Tennis, Boxing and Swimming he stated that “in December last year your association was requested to submit completed forms for the accreditation of your athletes and officials in the long list for the London Summer Olympics. It was unfortunate to realize that even at the expiration of the deadline of January 15; your association did not comply. It is worthwhile to note that the Accreditation System is being managed by the London 2012 Organizing Committee which has the Whole world to handle. We cannot therefore continue to toy with deadlines.
The National Olympic Committee of Sierra Leone and IGLOC have therefore given you up to the 15th February as the final dead line for the submission of entries for your association. Any oversight of this final dead line means your association is not interested in being part of the Olympic Games. After February 15th, Chef de Mission will concentrate on the confirmation of entries to ensure that all mistakes are taken care of. Please take this warning seriously.” The letter further pointed out to the defaulting association that “in the previous forms sent to your association the height and weight of the athletes were not mentioned. In submitting your entries please submit the height of the athletes in centimeters, meters and weight in Kilograms.”
