Freetown, SIERRA LEONE – In preparation for the upcoming 2023/24 Sierra Leone Premier League season, East End Lions Football Club (E.E Lions FC) has appointed former FC Kallon Coach, Charlie Wright, as their Head Coach. Wright has penned a two-year deal with an option clause for extension.
Expressing his excitement after signing the two-year deal, Coach Wright acknowledged the rich history of East End Lions Football Club in Sierra Leone football. He emphasized the need for teamwork to achieve the club’s goals.
Charlie Wright, a former footballer for East End Lions Football Club, boasts an impressive track record of guiding the team to numerous trophies in the past. He will now serve in the technical team as the head coach, with Raymond Gerald Hunter as his immediate assistant.
Wright brings a wealth of Sierra Leone Premier League experience, having spent twelve years with FC Kallon in the country’s top tier. East End Lions’ decision to bring Coach Wright on board aligns with their commitment to meet the Confederation of African Football (CAF) criteria, as Coach Wright holds a CAF A-license qualification.
The 2019 Sierra Leone Premier League undefeated champions, East End Lions, are embarking on a series of reforms and team restructuring in preparation for the upcoming league season.
