The Children’s Forum Network (CFN) in its advocacy for the rights of children has in a letter to President Ernest Bai Koroma urged that an independent, non-partial investigation and judicial inquest be conducted into the death of Alima Sheriff Kamara.
The CFN stated that the autopsy report by pathologist Owizz Kamara “was not pleasing because of the causes of death of the late Alima is a sickness which has never been discovered by her parents before this time.”
The letter further stated that the result from the postmortem was not officially conveyed to the parents of late Alima by the police neither the doctor before they were released to the public.
They recalled that after the death of Harry Yansaneh it was only an inquest that brought certain hidden facts out “and we believe strongly only an inquest into Alima’s death can do the same.”
CFN urged that, “we would be grateful if an independent, non-partial investigating judicial inquest can be set up by you which would be charged with the responsibility of investigating all the factors that are alleged to be part of the death of Alima and clear the air.”
