
Pursuant upon its corporate policy to make life better for its numerous subscribers, Celtel on Friday commenced its weekly raffle draw which is a prelude to the grand finale to the Le350m house.
Business commenced past Friday with the first weekly draw at the company’s shop at Siaka Stevens Street where five subscribers were made millionaires while others smiled home with a gas cooker, musical sets, TV, mobile phones and DVD.
Speaking to Awoko after he collected his one million Leones, Brima Kpakra, stated that, “Celtel has solved by family problems through this winning, and it came as a surprise to me when I was called and notified about it.”
He went on, “this prize money has come as a surprise to me and I would urge all Sierra Leoneans to patronize Celtel by joining their world, as they have proven rather more robust in expanding their network around the country.”
Mr Kpakra boasted that he was a frequent traveler and whenever he was in the provinces, through Celtel’s network, he was able to link up with his family, stressing further that, “I thanked God for this gesture, as I have been a long outstanding subscriber.”
Another surprise came from Mrs Adama Conteh who won a gas cooker, and when she was called to be notified she exclaimed: “I thank God as he had destined it for me.” Four others won a million Leones each, while 30 won a one thousand top up cards, five beach umbrellas, t-shirts and caps, while former footballer Alhaji Chernor Sie was the proud winner of the DVD player.
Addressing the gathering before the commencement of the draw, Mrs. Olufela Adeyemi, Celtel’s human resource director, stated that, “at Celtel we identify with our customers and we respond to their inner desires with our overriding mission “Making Life Better”. Through this, she opined, “I am happy to welcome you to this weekly draw in our 2007 “Win-a-House promotion.” The human resource director further affirmed that, “in essence to make your life better, you need to join our world,” adding that, “talk on your Celtel line, and win a dream that will enhance your standard of living.”
