The country’s leading mobile network Celtel continued to give joy to families as they conducted another weekly draw leading to the win-a-house grand finale.
Five families benefited from the draw as five individuals were transformed into millionaires last Saturday at their Siaka Stevens Street shopping centre.
Apart from the lucky subscribers who were winners last Saturday, the maiden draw for ‘stock and win’ was also held for those who purchase stock worth Le150,000 and who stood the chance of winning 12 motorbikes, 20 bicycles, 10 generators and 50 Nokia 1110 phones at the maiden draw.
The first batch of winners were Jojo of Siaka Stevens Street who clinched a generator, while Adama Barrie of Calaba Town won the mountain bicycle as the winner of a Honda TVS and helmet went to a dealer with cell phone number 841967.
Most of last Saturday’s winners were females from across the country.
Mary Hassan of Kenema won one DVD set, and all she could say when the master of ceremony Abubakarr Kamara called her up was “thank you, I hope I will win every month.”
It was not so lucky for subscriber with cell phone number 634222 as he could not be reached on his cell phone and when the draw for the 21inches TV set was redone, David Swarray of Moyamba District emerged as the lucky winner. When he was linked up on the network and notified about his winning all he could say was “I’m happy about it and I thank Celtel.”
For Abibu Saidu residing in Kono, it was just wonderful, wonderful when he was informed that he too had won a musical set. The gas cooker went to Akim Kallon of Jalloh Terrace at Wellington.
The five millionaires who smiled last Saturday were Daniel Samura, Fatmata Yansaneh, Mary Kargbo and Mohamed Mansaray, the fifth winner did not respond to the call. Speaking at the prize award ceremony after collecting his purse, Samura said, “I thank God for making it possible for me to win Le1million, and urged those who have not linked up with the network to do so urgently as Celtel is really ‘D-Bomber’. Commenting on her prize money, Yansaneh told the audience that “I will never leave the Celtel family.”
