The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) has declared former Sierra Leone premier league board chairman Rodney Edmond Michael provisionally eligible to contest for the Presidency of the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) until his case before the court is concluded according to a reliable source.
He was disqualified from contesting for the SLFA highest office by the association’s electoral committee in March and his appeal against the decision was rejected by the Appeals board forcing him to take the matter to CAS. The SLFA elections which will be the first since the current administration headed by FIFA council and CAF executive committee member Isha Johansen came to power on 3rd August 2013 are scheduled for June 5 after two postponements this year.
