In line with the adage ‘good servant, good master,’ the Sierra Leone Brewery Limited (SLBL) on Friday awarded five of its staff for diligent service to the company.
In his opening statement, the human resource manager and company secretary said, “[the] presentation of the long service awards [was] to employees who have worked in the company for 10, 15 and 30 years”.
In his statement, the company’s managing director Dr John Mbonu averred that, “as a good corporate citizen, we will continue to recognise and acknowledge the role played by our long serving and loyal employees of our company.”
“The longer you serve in our company the more you are expected to inculcate a sense of belonging which is force for motivation,” he maintained.
Dr Mbonu said, “we must give credit to the spouses and family members of these our revered employees who without doubt must have contributed in their own way in ensuring that the company continues to meet its business objectives in spite of the difficult conditions under which we are operating.” He assured that, “the company on its own part will strive to continue to be an attractive employer for the mutual benefit of all stakeholders.”
