The Bo Peace and Reconciliation Movement (BPRM) in collaboration with Conciliation Resources will today officially launch a booklet titled “Building Paths to peace” at the British Council Auditorium, Tower Hill Freetown.
Conciliation Resources have partnered with a community based voluntary peace building organisation the Bo Peace and Reconciliation Movement since 1995 and have prepared a publication that documents the work of BPRM using analysis and case studies. According to the West Africa Programme Coordinator of Conciliation Resources Rosalind Hanson the book illustrates how traditional and modern methods of conflict resolution have been successfully brought together to ensure sustainable peace building.
He noted that BPRM has become a nationally recognized actor for helping prevent and resolve over 1,000 conflicts and disputes across the country between conflicting parties and reconciling communities. The co-ordinator of BPRM Mr. Hassan Feika is expected to present the organization challenges and achievements of the movement over the last decade, to participants present at the launching of the booklet as each guest is expected to receive a free booklet
