The Sierra Leone Boxing Association will on Sunday at the National Stadium hold its final trials to select those who will represent Sierra Leone at the second and final continental Olympics tournament slated for 22nd -31st March in Namibia.
Speaking to Awoko Sports the association’s secretary general, Christian Campbell, said the trials would feature several clubs like Prisons, Police, RSLAF and others in the provinces.
He mentioned that these trials would also serve as part of the preparation for the Boxing Zone Two competition which Sierra Leone will host next month at the National Stadium.
Christian Campbell noted that during the competition Senegal, The Gambia, Guinea, and three other countries would participate.
He also revealed that the association, in collaboration with the National Olympics Committee (NOC), would be organizing a Level Three boxing coaching course at the National Stadium for 20 local coaches countrywide including females.
