The assorted building materials which include, bags of cement, iron rods, plumbing materials, electrical materials etc. was handed over to the SLP at the company’s Queen Elizabeth II Quay office, Cline Town in Freetown. Gassimu S. Fofana, Public Relations Officer of the Freetown Terminal said the company’s contribution is geared towards enhancing safety and security in their operational area.

He added that the company also constructed a new police post for Sea Side and renovated  the Ross Road police station -“We are also replicating the same for Moa Wharf Community.” While receiving the items on behalf of the Inspector General of Police, Assistant Inspector General of Police, Ansumana Conteh and Regional Commander Ross Road Division expressed appreciation to Bolloré  for answering to their call in making sure that security presence is felt at Moa Wharf Community.

AIG described the gesture from Bollore as a laudable one that would help to strengthen the security sector. Chairman of Moa Wharf community, Abubakarr Barrie, said over the years there has been a lot of constraints in terms of security within the community due to the unavailability of a Police Post in the community but with the construction of a new police post such challenges would be a thing of the past.

Abu commended Bollore for the donation, and assured all that the construction of the police post at the Wharf will commence as soon as possible.
