Seven women representatives from the executive committee of the ruling All Peoples Congress (APC) in the Bo district in the southern province, have applauded Haja Afsatu Kabba Minister of Energy and Power.
Addressing the Minister, at her Siaka Stevens street office, Mrs. Aminata Sheriff the district chairlady of APC said that the good work of the minister has captured the attention of not only the people of Freetown but also residents in Bo and beyond.
She added that, since electricity has been the utmost need of the people, they in Bo district were very much delighted when President Koroma, lit up Freetown on December 20.
“We have every hope that the same facility will soon reach us in that part of the country”.
She urged the minister to double her efforts in the provision for effective and sustainable electricity supply in the region.
In her response, the Minister expressed thanks to the delegation for what she called their thoughtfulness and which she stated is a clear manifestation of humanity characterized by gratitude and the spirit of nationalism.
Haja Afsatu Kabba maintained that her ministry underscored the commitment and dedication towards the strengthening of the country’s energy sector.
She pointed out that her ministry is one that deserves encouragement and attention since President Koroma is highly determined to solve the energy problem crisis, which has been a menace and malaise in the country for a long period in her history.
The minister assured the delegates that as long as her official responsibilities are in fulfillment of the President’s promise to the nation, she is always prepared to render her best service for the general good of the country.
