Freetown, SIERRA LEONE – In a jubilant celebration, Bo Rangers FC proudly hoists the Leone Rock Community Shield, marking their third major trophy since the club’s inception in 1954. They clinched the title by defeating Mighty Blackpool FC with a single goal to nil (1-0) at the Southern Arena Stadium on October 28, 2023.
Following the match, Assistant Coach of Bo Rangers, Kabineh Kamara, expressed the club’s excitement in securing their first silverware of the new Leone Rock Premier League season. He acknowledged that they had faced a formidable opponent but credited their victory to the team’s maturity and composure on the field.
Kamara, however, voiced some concerns regarding the officiating of the match, noting that several decisions appeared to be against them, ultimately resulting in a Red Card for one of their defenders, Eishik Kamara. Despite this, he urged all Bo Rangers FC fans to rally behind the team for more success in the upcoming season.
Meanwhile, Alusine Bala Kargbo, the head coach of Blackpool, expressed disappointment with the results, as it was not the outcome they had expected.
