Blackpool wins Gibril Wilson trophy

Mighty Blackpool football club on Sunday came very strong to defeat their arch rivals Kallon FC to win the Gibril Wilson trophy with a total of $1,800 to the players with each player receiving $100.
While the technical staff received 500 thousand Leones and the runners up only received the runners’ trophy with no cash.
Before handing over the trophies to both teams the sponsor, Gibril Wilson who is currently living in the United States, said this was the first time to organise such a competition but the next competition would be great.
He went further that he was here to promote football from grassroots to international level.
During the match both team came well planned and focused to win the Gibril Wilson trophy. The match was thrilling and exciting as both teams showed their prowess in the field of play.
Daniel Dove put Blackpool into the lead from a classical goal that moved the entire football fans at the National Stadium. After the goal, Blackpool created other chances to increase the score line but they failed to score until the end of the first half.
In the second segment it was a different situation as both teams returned to the field well determined to clinch the Gibril Wilson trophy. Kallon FC got their equalizer from Baggio.
After the goal the match became more exciting as both teams were fighting for the winning goals, and they both went into the offensive but the much needed goal never materialized until the end of the match.
The referee added no extra time, so they went straight to the penalty shoot out that saw Blackpool winning by nine goals to eight(9-8).
In the first set of penalties both teams scored three goals each. In the next shoot out, Blackpool scored all while Kallon FC scored four.
