As the young American evangelist Ben Cerullo arrives in town the long anticipated Miracles and Healing crusade starts today 5th March at the Brima Attouga sports complex. The man of God was introduced to journalists in a press conference that was held at the Bethel Cathedral of praise at Circular Road, Freetown.
The coordinator of the three days crusade, Rev. Julius Laggah said the visit of Ben Cerullo is as a result of a visit he made to North Carolina U.S.A where he met with Ben Cerullo. Rev. Laggah further explained that the visit of Ben Cerullo to Sierra Leone is a blessing to the people of this country. The man of God came with a Jamaican born gospel musician Calvin Whilby aka Prodigal son.
In his statement the man of God said he has come to Sierra Leone as a servant of God to give hope to the hopeless.
He has traveled around the world healing people of all races in the name of God. Ben Cerullo stated that he had lived a miserable life before by living in the ghettos and roaming the streets of America but got his conversion six years ago while lying on a sick bed in hospital.
Since then he said he has been following the foot step of his grand father, Dr.Cerullo a popular man of God who has been very instrumental in his life.
He called on all Sierra Leoneans to prepare their minds for the word of God as God is going to change the nation before the Miracle crusade ends.
The anointed man of God further mentioned that he came to give meaning to the lives of people who feel dejected and rejected in society.
He has a plan to support orphans who lost their parents during the civil war in Sierra Leone he said.
The international gospel musician from Jamaica Calvin Whilby aka Prodigal son is also in town with his band to grace this wonderful miracle and healing crusade.
Prodigal son told press men that the young people of today have been influenced by worldly musicians and that is responsible for the bad behavior of the youths in Africa.
“I am in Sierra Leone to preach the message of God to young people through reggae music” he stated.
Like Ben, Prodigal son has lived a ghetto life in his home land and has served as gang leader for drug addicts.
He ended up by saying that since he accepted God in his life he had never failed and has won several international awards as a gospel reggae singer.
