The Management of Belleview Airlines has issued a press release debunking media reports, which allege that flight B3-259 crash-landed at the Freetown international Airport leaving some of the passengers onboard injured.
The release explained that the flight arrived on Sunday at the “airport from Dakar at about 1320 hrs and soon after departed for Lagos.”
The release explained further that “The captain observed an anomaly and as such decided to return to Lungi. This is because the captain did not want to chance or risk anything.”
It continued, “the passengers were disembarked and were lodged at the airport’s and Mahera Beach Hotel to pass the night so that they can continue their journey on one of the…Boeing 737 flights from Lagos.” The release noted that the “flight engineer rectified the anomaly, certified it and the flight left for Lagos and landed safely.”
Belleview, the release stated “cares for the safety of its passengers,” noting the media report was “malicious, baseless and unfounded.”
