She said among HIV activities the aspect of BCC was the most important because it was there to explain to the community people the meaning of HIV and also sensitize them about the disease and its prevention.
He asked them to love people living with HIV (PLWH) and cautioned all to desist from stigmatization.
The director of RHG- SL, Frances Amadu in her contribution, gave the objective of the workshop, which she said was contemplated on Behavioural Change Communication in relation to the prevention of HIV and STIs.
She added that the exercise would focus on Behavioural Change Communication.
“We will begin by examining the background to the Behavioural Change process and proceed to the communication process and its various components. Behavioural Change and Communication concepts are applied using a variety of communication channels,” she stated, adding that by the end of the workshop participants would be able to understand the need for a multidimensional approach to HIV relate risk and vulnerability factors to interventions.
