Sierra Leone: A release signed by David WS Banya, Senior Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Basic and Senior School Education (MBSSE) has informed the public that the National Primary School Examination (NPSE) has been postponed to 28th May 2021.
The exam was expected to take place on 14 May 2021 but MBSSE said after consultation with the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) both institutions have agreed that the date is shifted to allow other compatriots to finish observing the holy month of Ramadan in mid-May this year.
“The Two-week extension will provide opportunities for further revision by the candidates and teachers who are required to continue with preparations in the school for the examination,” the release maintained.
MBSSE added that a separate Examination Center list by chiefdoms will be released before the exam and the government will provide all NPSE candidates with 2B pencils, sharpener and eraser.
