Agape thrashed their opponents Grace International 9-1 Saturday November 3rd 2012 at the MMECT grounds at Goderich, to clinch the third position in the Olympafrica Samsung Soccer competition.
Team coordinator Francis Alpha told Awoko Sports after the match that Agape came on strong, wanting to revenge after losing to Ahamadiyya in the semi final by penalty shoot-out, but that was not to be even though they were tipped as one of the schools to clinch the championship trophy.
The match was a one sided affair with Agape dominating all departments from start to finish and appeared to have more luck on their side. Arguably they should have scored more than nine goals, Awoko Sports learnt.
The grand-final for the soccer competition will be played tomorrow Thursday November 8th 2012 between UMC and Ahmadiyya. Book makers say the match is expected to be full with tension as both schools will be meeting for the second time in a grand-final.
