The Eastern Region meeting which was held yesterday at the football academy to elect the members who are expected to vote in the forthcoming elective congress on Saturday ended in chaos at the Adelaide Street police station in Freetown.
Speaking about the ordeal to Awoko Sports the chairman for the Kenema football Association Hon David Soriba said that the whole of the Eastern Region held a meeting on Wednesday in Kenema by then the Regional chairman Joseph Kelfala was not present he was in town.
So the entire Eastern Region decided to come down to Freetown to explain to him about the decision they have taken and who and who to vote for Kambui Eagles, Gem Stars and the Eastern Region. But during the meeting chairman Kelfala failed to listen to their decision.
They also said that he as a regional chairman will not vote as he has already taken sides in the congress and decided to work out of the meeting after hours without achieving anything during the meeting. On this grounds Hon Soriba said that he decided to take the documents and handover it to the PRO of Gem Stars.
As he was doing that he said three members of Joseph Kelfala’s group started to fight Tejan for the documents and the other member came in to stop the fighting. By then Tejan had suffered serious pain all over his body so they decided to make a report at the Adelaide police station were a medical request form was given to Tejan
He stated that Kelfala will not impose himself on them “we are not going to take this enough is enough” he said
