The Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) congress, which is expected to have elected new executive on May 24-25, has been postponed.
This was disclosed to Awoko Sports by the Administrative Secretary Abubakkarr Kabbah (Sweet K). He said they needed to inform the stakeholders a month before the congress.
Kabbah said the executive committee, according to the constitution, was the only one which had the right to fix the place and date, adding that they had to notify the stakeholders in writing at least 30 days in advance and also a formal convocation should be made in writing at least one month before the date of the congress. “All these have not been done,” he disclosed.
Some of the stakeholders told Awoko Sports that they had heard about the postponement of the congress but that they needed to be informed in writing.
