The Samsung Sporting activities continues at the MMCET grounds, Goderich in Freetown on Monday October 22nd 2012, which was the second day of the competition.
It was soccer were four schools were expected to participate by playing two matches but the first match between Summit and Huntingdon, did not materialize as Summit did not show up, so three points and three goals was awarded to Huntingdon as they can now proceed to the next stage.
In the second match UMC came very strong to defeat a well-determined El-Bethel by three goals to nil (3-0) with all three goals being scored in the first half of the match.
According to the host coordinator, Francis Alpha, El-Bethel lost because during the first-half they were most times on the offensive, while their opponent was playing on the break and they conceded the three goals.
And during the second half, they changed their pattern of play which helped them in the second half but they were unlucky to reduce the scored.
The competition will continue today Thursday October 25th 2012 with Wrestling.
