Fans of Mighty Blackpool are demanding the resignation of Coach Prince Toe after his side fell prey to Old Edwardians in this year’s Africell Premier League by a lone goal last Saturday.
The goal was scored by Yusuf Bangura from a penalty spot in the first half of play.
With that solitary win Old Edwardians has now bagged 4 points from three matches while their opponent Mighty Blackpool has only secured a point from three matches.
Mighty Blackpool has lost two matches out of three matches played so far.
Speaking to Awoko Sports after the match Old Edwardians Coach Amidu Koroma said that he is very happy for their maiden victory and it should served as a warning to other teams.
He also stated that any team that wants to play Old Edwardians must be totally prepared to face them as they are prepared to create serious impact in the league.
After the final whistle fans of Might Blackpool stormed the main Bowl of National Stadium demanding that head Coach Prince Toe quit the club as since he took over there has been no improvement on the team.
In the other matches played Kissy All Stars went down by two goals to nil (2-0) to Wusum Stars of Makeni at the National Stadium.
This is Kissy All Stars first match defeat, while it is the second win for Wusum Stars from two matches that they have played.
Wusum Stars Coach Abdul Rahman Turay said that they are doing everything possible to ensure that they remain within the first four teams in the league and further opined that “but this time around with the kind of Executive members that we have we are sure that such a thing will never happen again”.
Kissy All Stars Coach Raymond Lewis said that he is going to the drawing board to correct the loss against Wusum Stars and appealed to supporters to be patient.
