As nearly 100,000 fly in … Visitors through Lungi jump 33.2% to 52,442 in 2011

The General Manager of the National Tourist Board Cecil Williams has revealed that last year’s statistics of airline visitor arrivals through the Lungi International Airport has jumped from 38,615 in 2010 to 52,442 in 2011.
This was revealed in the Tourist arrivals analysis for 2011 released in January every year by the National Tourist Board.
This shows an increase of 13,827 more airline visitors in 2011 than in 2010.
The total passenger arrival through Lungi airport in 2011 is 99,181 of which tourist/visitors accounted for 53% or 52,442.
According to Mr Williams these figures are collected through the forms completed at the airport by all airline passengers arriving and departing the country.
