The deputy minister of Labour, Moijueh Kai Kai has donated over 20 bags of cement to residents of Gondahun in the Pujehun district for the construction of their dilapidated community centre and 100 bushel of seedling rice to farmers of Mokanji viallge.
Moijueh Kai Kai made the donation on the 17th May 2009 at a separate ceremony that was attended by hundreds of people including traditional rulers, school going children and the youths.
Addressing the elated residents, the minister pointed out that the gesture was as a result of the promises he made to them in the last local government.
“I was very impressed by the level of support you show to the APC party in the local government election the love and honesty you demonstrated to the APC made us to defeat the SLPP in this part of the district and I want to assure you that I will always continue to render my help to you” Moijueh Kai Kai affirmed.
At another short ceremony held at Benja town, the deputy minister informed the poverty stricken residents that the government of President Ernest Bai Koroma has consented to construct a court barry for them amidst joy and jubilation.
Responding one of the village chiefs Pa Yankuba thanked the deputy minister for the gesture stressing that the people of Gondahun and Mokanji will always support the APC party.
He went further to thank His Excellency the President Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma for appointing their son into his government.
A drama skit staged by the women and children climaxed the ceremony.
