This years’ Boxing Competition was hosted in Mali was won by Guinea and the Salone Boxing team came last out of the 5 countries that took part in the competition.
At the end of the five days competition Guinea who won the competition secured 6 gold medals, 3 Silver and 3 bronze while the host country, in host Mali won the second position with 3 gold, 4 Silver and two bronze.
Senegal came third with 2 gold, 3 Silver and 3 bronze medals. And Cape Verde was fourth with a Silver medal and 3 bronze. While Sierra Leone who was the defending champion came 5th position and were able to secure 5 bronze medals.
