Freetown City Football Club on Monday, February 13th 2012 registered their first win in the ongoing Premier League when they defeated their host, Bo Rangers by two goals to nil (2-0) at the Bo Coronation Field. The win came following their three consecutive loses.
Monday’s win has rekindled the hope of the team that has been playing so well but failed to secure any point. The team is now off the relegation zone.
The league continues today Wednesday, February 15th with East End Lions hosting the Kissy All Stars.
Kissy All Stars Coach, Raymond Lewis said they cannot afford to lose today’s match as that will not be good for the team since they lost their last match against Old Edwardians. He said that winning today’s match they will give them 9 points from 5 matches played so far.
On the other hand, East End Lions who have secured 5 points from 3 matches are expected to extend their points tally to 8 from 4 matches if they win today’s match.
The league continues on Friday, February 17th 2012 with Gem Stars hosting Central Parade in Tongo playing field, while on the same day Diamond Stars will host Kamboi Eagles in Kono.
