FC Johansen continue with their undefeatable run past Sunday in the ongoing Africell Premier league when they defeated Mighty Blackpool by two goals to nil to secure 11 points from 5 matches played so far.
The winning was the third for FC Johansen with the winning goal coming in the dying minutes of the match to secure all three vital points.
This is the second loss for Mighty Blackpool in space of one week which has affected the team since they have now secured only a single point from three matches.
Also on Monday Old Edwardians and East End Lions played to a goalless draw after a fierce 90 minutes of play after both sides created series of chances but failed to score. Old Edwardians have now secured only 4 points from 4 matches while their opponent East End Lions has secured 5 points from 3 games played so far.
In the other matches in the provinces last Friday FC kallon who played away to Gem Stars at the Tongo field in Kenema defeated the host by a goal to nil to secure three winning in a row which has placed them on a very good footing in the league. This is Gem Stars third match they have lost in a row without securing any point.
At the Koidu playing field in Kono Diamond Stars defeated Bo Rangers by a goal to nil to secure 9 points from 5 Matches played with their opponent. Bo Ranges has secured 8 points from 5 matches played so far.
The league will continue today with FC Kallon hosting Mighty Blackpool in a cracker of a match Mighty Blackpool cannot afford to lose if they want to be in the race challenging for this year’s trophy while FC Kallon on the other hand are going in the match to continue in their winning spree to make sure that they secure maximum points from 4 matches. The league will continue on Friday 10th February 2012 with three matches lined up in Tongo field in Kenema. Gem Stars will host Wusum Stars on the same day in Kenema Kamboi Eagles will host the Defending the Champion Ports Authority who have lost all their three matches in the League. While at the National Stadium Central Parade will host Diamond Stars of Kono.
