In the opening match of the Division One league played on Monday at the National Stadium, Belvic United defeated RSLAF by a goal to nil with Sadiu Bayoh accounting for the only goal.
Belvic United secured their first win and three vital points in the league after that victory. The goal came around the 35th minutes of play when Sadiu Bayoh scored with his head. After the goal they were looking for more goals before the end of the first half.
The second segment was a different situation as both teams came into the field not to lose their first match as they are fighting for better standing in the table.
The RSLAF team that were down by a goal to nil did every thing possible to equalize but the Belvic goalkeeper was very outstanding making brilliant saves until the end of the match.
After the match, the goal scorer of Belvic United Sadiu Bayoh said for him to score the first goal in the competition made him felt very happy.
The head coach of RSLAF, Mohamed Bah (JK), said for his boys to lose his first match in the competition he felt bad and that they were prepared to adjust during the competition.
He said during the start of the match his boys were out of touch but were able to come back in the match after they were one goal down.
He said during the second half they played a beautiful game and created possible chances to score goals but the executions were poor.
