Youth within the All People’s Congress (APC) in Port Loko town have resolved their long standing differences over who they should support between two aspirants for the APC symbol.
The peace was brokered by a task force from the executive of the National Youth League, after two days of deliberations.
Heading the team was the vice president of the National Youth League, Abdul Bai Kanu who recommended the withdrawal of all court cases, the recovery of Le3m and the setting up of zonal executives in the district.
According to a dispatch from our correspondent, who witnessed the meeting, the Youth League’s scribe Robin Fola Mansaray spoke about the conflicting versions which had emerged amongst party members, and how that could forestall the development of their party in the district.
Supporters of the party, the dispatch noted, divided themselves between supporting the sitting Member of Parliament Kemoh Sesay and businessman Abubakarr ‘Zozo’ Kamara for the party symbol.
After the meeting, the youth resolved to solidify their support for the desired victory come August 11.
