The ruling All Peoples Congress Party mini conventions for party executives in the Bo District Southern Sierra Leone have left party executives crying foul with accusations and counter accusations among party stalwarts over the contravention of the party constitution.
Retired Capt. Kenneth Tarawalie former 2007 parliamentary candidate for constituency 71 comprising of Badja, Komboya and Babgbe Chiefdom accused the APC Party Chairman in the Bo District Sheik Sillah of contravening the party constitution.
He further alleged that majority of the party executives were not consulted before the election and accused Sheik Sillah of allegedly embezzling party funds meant for the district and that he is not a true APC loyalist.
Similar accusation was levied by the Bo District Chairman Bailer Musa Koroma and other party stalwarts confirmed the allegation of embezzlement and contravention of the party constitution and called for an immediate petitioning of the Bo District Chairman.
Our reporter also caught up with the controversial Bo District APC Chairman Sheik Sillah to get his own side of the story. In his response Sheik Sillah vehemently denied the allegation, saying the allegations are base less as he followed the party constitution to the letter and that all constituency conventions were drawn in conformity with party executives. He also denied embezzlement of any party funds and warned against washing dirty leanings in the public as numbers count in election.
