In space of some weeks now two past heroes, who contributed to the development of football in Sierra Leone, passed away.
The first was Steven Bio and now Sylvanus Morris who passed away last week at the Cupid hospital, Kingtom, after a short illness.
He played for Mighty Blackpool and the national team during the 60s and 70s
alongside the late Amadu Okoro, Boye Johnson and a host of other big names.
The late Morris was called ‘Easy Devil’ during his playing days and he was one of the best players this country has ever produced.
He also worked for the Sierra Leone Telecommunications Company (SLET).
