Italian Sports Manager and entrepreneur and owner of Flashlight Agency, Andreas Goller will arrive in town today Wednesday October 17th 2012, under the auspices of one of SLFA Presidential Candidate Madam Isha Johansen to scout for young and budding talents.
According to information reaching Awoko Sports, his visit to Sierra Leone is to unearth the “New Mohamed Kallon”.
During his stay, he will be traversing the length and breadth of the country to watch youth teams in a football clinic that will be hosted by Madam Johansen in Bo, Makeni and Freetown, which is expected to start tomorrow in Bo City.
The Italian Andreas Goller has worked with two world champions Italian and Juventus Legend Alessandro Del Piero and former Inter Milan, Manchester United and Arsenal French defender Mikael Silvestre.
In 2008 Andreas Goller’s Flashlight agency took over the commercialization of Italians football World Champion and FC Bayern Munich striker Luca Toni.
His partner Claudia Vigorelli, a very influential player agent in Europe has worked with African Stars like Samuel Eto’o and former inter Milan Star Mohamed Kallon. Claudio facilitated the mega-million Euro move of Samuel Eto’o to his current employers in Eastern Europe Anzhi Makhachkala.
Their decision to come to Sierra Leone was by prompted by the explosive pace and promising talent they saw in an FC Johansen player currently at Manchester City Football Club, George Davies aka ‘Kweku’.
According to Madam Johansen, they asked about Kweku and initiated discussions regarding his future, but I told them that” there is more of what you need to see in the country where Kweku comes from.”
Goller will be watching a total of 18 teams from Kambia, Pujehun, Kenema, Makeni, Bo, Moyamba and Freetown.
It is hoped that the talents on display will impress Goller and his team of agents as they look to unearth the “New Mohamed Kallon”.
