Musa Jabbie was granted a Le 50 bail after he was arraigned before Magistrate Hannah Bonnie at the Freetown Magistrate Court No. 1 on Pademba Road in Freetown, on Wednesday 15th January 2020 on allegations of wounding. According to the police, on the 18th December 2019, at Gaza Guest House at Sir Samuel Lewis Road in Freetown, Jabbie maliciously wounded Fayia James, thereby causing him serious bodily harm. Also on the 29th December 2019, Jabbie again assaulted James, and caused him actual bodily harm. Jabbie was charged with wounding contrary to Section 20 of the Offences Against Persons Act. He was also charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm. Inspector D.A. Taylor prosecuted the matter, but Jabbie did not have any legal representation in court. Magistrate Hannah Bonnie granted Jabbie a Le50 million bail plus two sureties, one of which must produce a bank statement of not less than Le 20 million. The matter comes up again on the 23rd January 2020.
