Sierra Leone: All is now set for the Sierra Leone Premier League (SLPL) as the wait will end on Friday 23rd April 2021, when the league will return with a bang.

According to the SLPL media committee, there are three mouth-watering matches lined up for the opening day, Friday 23rd April.

At the Approved School in the East, Anti-Drugs will be expected to plot a coup to give newcomers SLIFA a harsh welcome to the Sierra Leone Premier League (SLPL). The newcomers are however coming with valour.

At Kingtom in the West, The Sierra Leone Police will be hoping to use their truncheons to blunt the sharp claws of East End Tigers with their Hastings tactics. Tigers, however, know all too well how to outsmart the men in blue.

Then at 7:30 pm under the lights at the Siaka Stevens Stadium, FC Kallon the Cavaliers and Ports Authority the Water Front Boys will renew their rivalry and endeavour to put an icing on the opening day’s cake.

The following day, Saturday 24th April, Bai Bureh Warriors will hope to draw inspirations from the exploits or heroics of legendary Bai Bureh to announce their return to the big stage when they entertain Mighty Blackpool in Port Loko.

In Bo, the clash in the Southern forests between Bo Rangers and Lions will be fierce. Rangers’ new acquisition Musa Noah Kamara famously called Musa Tombo hopes to bite the finger that used to feed him and to instantly make himself the blue eyed boy of Rangers.

At Cline Town, The Metropolitan Boys Freetown City FC will square off to the stubborn challenge of the Old Edwardians aka Edward’s boys from Kingtom.
